The copper pictured above was not easy to make. It is a very, very fine dust like material micron to probably even nano in size. I know it is micron and smaller cause when I shake the batch copper dust particles easily float up into the air to form a plum.

About the item:
The copper above was made through copper reduction from pure copper nitrate. The reducing agent was cobalt. To insure purity the reduced copper was reacted in 32% HCl to turn all traces of remaining cobalt to cobalt chloride. Substance was then washed several times in purified water to remove all soluble traces of cobalt chloride.
